Competition can't....but exclusives, features, and overall more premium console content won't beat the hype and brand recognition that sells your competitors console.
You need to work on forcing the hands. Sure exclusive new IPs are cool but locking down some franchises would bring some buyers.

No one is saying ps4s line up is weak. It's just that the xbox one line up is significantly stronger by default. Simply on fan appeal.

Xbox One has ethernet going right to the GPU and they didn't make the Xbox Ones data moving architectural design simply for cost efficiency.
The cloud will have more heartbreaking debuts in the future showcasing some things we thought not possible.

Persona, Disgaea,until dawn, UC with no multiplayer and Dragon Quest heroes are the more critically acclaimed titles out of anything on Xbox One. All games listed have way more fans and can be talked about from all storylines to this date....the same cannot be said about Xbox One.

Sales matter but if people actually believe sales won't stagnate at the end of this gen with both consoles over 80mil which really makes all this bs pointless because both are forecasting to be major sellers then I don't know what to tell you.
